Principal, Arranger & Conductor
Goh Hoay Wen
Hoay Wen Goh is an accomplished and highly qualified music teacher with over 20 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy, achieving Magna Cum Laude distinction, from West Virginia University in the United States. During her studies, she received a scholarship in recognition of her exceptional abilities.
As the director of Samacademy, a successful music school that has been running for 7 years, Hoay Wen has been instrumental in providing high-quality music education to 250 students. The school offers a diverse range of instrumental music lessons, including piano, vocal, strings, winds, and art, as well as the franchise of the Harmony Road Music Course.
Apart from her role at Samacademy, Hoay Wen is also a Peripatetic music teacher at Marlborough College Malaysia, where she has been teaching piano, clarinet, and saxophone for the past 8 years. She actively contributes to the college's music scene by arranging music for the orchestra and participating in staging concerts and recitals.

In addition to her teaching commitments and running the music school, Hoay Wen has written and published a series of music theory books for children. These books have received positive feedback in the music industry and are currently in their 3rd print edition.
Hoay Wen's musical talents go beyond teaching and composing. She has arranged chamber music that has been performed by local music artists, and her arrangements have been showcased in public arenas such as shopping malls. She was also part of a chamber group that performed arrangements for the AAF competition, conducted by the well-established musician Mr. Mac in Singapore.
As a skilled clarinet player, Hoay Wen has been involved in various chamber ensembles such as KLSO, Ebony Clarinet Ensemble, and Simple Wind Quartet, performing for numerous corporate functions. She was also a member of the Kuala Lumpur Symphony Orchestra from 2000 to 2012. Her expertise and achievements have gained recognition, and she was interviewed by the local newspaper Kwong wah (Guan Hua) e-news on 28th February 2018. In the interview, she shared her teaching method, mission, and philosophy, as well as her experiences in publishing child-friendly music theory books and the challenges she faced during the process.
Hoay Wen is not limited to just one instrument; she is proficient in playing secondary instruments such as saxophone, violin, ukulele, and drums. Overall, Hoay Wen Goh's extensive experience, musical talents, and dedication to music education make her a highly sought-after and respected figure in the music industry.

Jun Xian
Jun Xian is a Malaysian composer, arranger, and orchestrator. He demonstrates great flexibility in composing and arranging a wide range of styles, showcased through his ability to arrange for both pop and classical genres, as well as concert hall music. His orchestral arrangements have been performed by renowned orchestras, including the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), and KL Performing Arts Centre (Klpac) Orchestra, and Symphonic Band, among others. Additionally, he has been involved in music scoring for several local films, short films, jingles and theatre music for the past twelve years.

Martin Chong Zhishen, a 13-year-old violinist and pianist, began his musical journey at the age of 10 and started learning the violin at 12. He is currently under the guidance of Teacher Hoay Wen for piano and Teacher Andrew for violin. Martin has participated in various competitions, achieving second place at the Raffles Singapore and Asia Pacific competitions, and first place in the EuroAsia competition for piano in 2023. Despite these accomplishments, Martin remains dedicated to furthering his music studies and continues to strive for excellence.
